Traditional Japanese Fudo Myo-o Mask
-----Description-----
Fudo Myo-o (不動明王), a Japanese deity (also know as Acala), the God of Fire.
Fudu Myo-o translates to “the immovable or unshakable one.” He is the greatest of the five Myo-o (five wisdom kings).
The Fudo-myoo is the greatest protector. He is the physical embodiment of Dainichi Nyorai, one of the best-known of the Myōō. Fudo-myo-o is the main deity and the most recognizable myo-o. The Fudo-myo-o may look enraged, but his purpose is to transform anger into salvation.
In Japanese culture, if a Fudo Myo-o mask is hung in a home, the house will not move in the event of an earthquake.
