The Hashihime mask is used in the Japanese Noh play Kanawa, which is based on the story of a woman who was betrayed by her husband. She soaked herself in the Uji River for 37 days and nights to place a curse on him and became a living demon.

Sizing: Please see the pictures for sizing. (We use a tennis ball to gauge the size of the items for customers.)
Condition: Please note that all the masks listed are old and have been used by Japanese people. This gives the items various weathering and imperfections. You can see the quality of the items in the photos.
