Traditional Japanese Tachikara-Ono-Mikoto Mask

Tachikara-Ono-Mikoto (大刀辛雄命)  is known as the "god of power" or "god of physical strength and sports" in Japanese mythology. He goes by several other names, including Ame-no-Tajikarao, Oosugutama-no-mikoto, Takuzutama-no-mikoto, Ama-no-Iwatowake-no-kami, Ookuzutama-no-mikoto, and Tachikarao-mikoto.

In the story of Amano-Iwato, Tachikara-Ono-Mikoto waited at the cave's entrance to pull out the sun goddess Amaterasu, bringing light back to the world.

The name "Tachikara" translates to "heaven hand power" in Japanese.
