Traditional Wooden Japanese Hokkaido Bear with Salmon

Bori-kuma (熊彫り) or Kibori kuma (木彫り熊) is a traditional Japanese craft that consists of a wooden carving of a bear with a fish in its mouth. The sculptures are produced in Hokkaido. The most common design portrays a brown bear biting a salmon, and the bear's thick bristles are portrayed by the sculptor using an axe.

Please note that all the masks listed are old and have been used by Japanese people. This gives the items various weathering and imperfections. They are not perfect. You can see the quality of the items in the photos.
